The Local Digital Fund is now open

We’re excited to announce that the Local Digital Fund is now open for applications from council-led digital projects.

If your council’s digital project is in alpha or beta phase, read more about the fund and apply on our website.

Applications are open until 11:59pm on Sunday 26 September, 2021.

In this guest blog post, the team from the Data Sharing with the VCS #LocalDigitalC19Challenge funded project shares an update on their progress.

In July 2020 we were awarded funding as part of the Local Digital C-19 Challenge to develop a Community Insight Project User Guide — setting out at a high-level approach for engaging with the VCS around a data project. As part of a second award from the fund in February, Camden is now expanding on this work on data sharing with the VCS. …

Launching a new fund to enhance community engagement in planning

This sprint, we’ve been supporting our Digital Planning colleagues to launch the PropTech Engagement Fund for Local Planning Authorities (LPAs). The programme intends to fund up to 12 council-led projects that support the widespread adoption of digital citizen engagement tools and services within the planning process.

Thank you for celebrating the 3rd anniversary of the Local Digital Declaration with us!

On Thursday 22 July we celebrated our 3rd anniversary of the Local Digital Declaration with our signatories and the #LocalDigital community.

Along with an entertaining quiz hosted by quiz master Nick Hill, we had a lucky winner of a virtual reality headset — well done Gary Dunn!

Welcome back to our Cyber Sprint Notes, an opportunity to catch up on the progress of the Local Digital Cyber team.

Cyber Health

The Cyber Health team have now received the Alpha Assessment Report and are reviewing the recommendations so that we can plan appropriate next steps.

In parallel with this, we are developing content to link guidance to relevant topics and questions.

Work has also begun on developing a strategy for information sharing with existing services, and we are engaging with the Public Service Network (PSN) on integration options and feasibility.

Welcome back to our Cyber Sprint Notes, an opportunity to catch up on the progress of the Local Digital Cyber team.

Cyber Health

The Cyber Health team is continuing with preliminary work on the private beta phase, while we wait for feedback and recommendations from the Alpha Service Assessment that was completed on 19 May.

In line with the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) roadmap, we have completed development of the login and registration, and undertaken research with 5 councils to test the usability and efficacy of the login and registration journeys.
